Originally published in 1978, The Snowman has captured the hearts of millions worldwide, selling over 8.5 million copies and being translated into more than 15 languages. In 1982, this timeless story was brought to life as a 26-minute animated film by TVC, under the direction of Dianne Jackson. The film, known for its beautiful hand-drawn animation and the iconic song “Walking in the Air,” has become a cherished holiday tradition, airing annually on Channel 4 since its debut.

Now you can experience the magic of The Snowman like never before. Our band will perform Howard Blake’s timeless score live, adding a rich, vibrant layer to the already enchanting film. With the support of Lewes Film Club in our shared home, the All Saints Centre, we are able to provide a full cinematic experience, complete with high-quality visuals and sound.

Whether you’re a long-time fan or new to this classic, the combination of the film’s stunning visuals and our live brass band soundtrack will create an unforgettable experience for all ages.

New for 2025: After an incredible first year of this adventure in 2024, we decided to take the show on the road. In 2025 we will also be giving one performance only in Eastboune, on Saturday 6th December.
