LGB Brass Training band were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Lewes, Dr Graham Mayhew to present the Trophy and a £50 voucher for Bonners to this years Most Improved Young Player award to Owen Dique.
Owen is 14 and took up drum kit aged 11, it became apparent that he had a natural talent for playing percussion. Owen has lessons with Grant Allardyce through East Sussex Music, and alongside LGB Brass attends the Eastbourne Area Music Centre each Saturday. He is flourishing into an accomplished, confident musician, and with his positive attitude and enthusiasm, he is a valuable addition to the LGB Training Band.
Owen is also part of the percussion team for the Senior LGB Brass team, making his contesting debut at the recent SCABA Autumn contest.
